Course Goal:  Understand the components of assessment, influences of external industry, and preparedness needs.

Course Content:  The Preparing to Launch Assessing Readiness course offers an orientation to key start-up considerations essential to preparing for a successful launch.

In addition to basic insights into the practicalities of nonprofit management and planning, this course (1.5 hours) covers a broad range of foundation-forming knowledge: professional and personal assessment, insight into industry factors, and strategies for individual and organizational start-up.

Additional content areas include a review of nonprofit vs.  business incorporation, infrastructure issues, the process of development, financial considerations and considerations for readiness success.

Includes a total of nineteen (19) real-world challenge questions and written exercises.  Following the participation in Assessing Readiness, participants will be in a position to make sound strategic decisions about next steps and prepare for the second module in the Preparing to Launch series, Building Healthy Organizational Culture.
